5th Grade Curriculum
Overview
When Mrs. Vogl first came to us asking for help with her sister's 5th grade science class, I was excited. 5th grade was one of my favorite years of school and I wanted to share my love of science with these kids. Helping to construct a curriculum seemed like a fantastic way to do just that, and I think our final product came out nicely. Below are the videos our group made over the course of a few weeks.

Reflection
This project was rewarding. It felt good to help other kids learn about subjects I'm interested in, like science and chemistry. One thing I liked about this project was using the Videoscribe program when making the videos. This made it easy to illustrate the concepts being presented as well as add audio to supplement the information. I also enjoyed my group, and I think we worked well together to complete the curriculum in the short timeframe we had. Although our project did not go perfectly and there were things we could improve upon next time, for the most part we
Peaks and Pits
- One peak was our good use of resources, with the Videoscribe program to make our videos. This made our presentation well rounded.
- Another peak was our excellent team chemistry! (haha). Because we worked so well together, everyone was on the same page and communication was flowing nicely. This made the project easier and contributed to the final product.
- One pit we had was not distributing the workload evenly across group members. This caused some people to have to invest much more time and energy than others.
- Another pit I had was getting distracted too often. In the future, staying on task more will help my group be even more efficient.
